We're back from a great long weekend in D.C. Jack did a fabulous job- in fact I might have to call him #1 Toddler from now on! He just went along and adapted to whatever schedule or plan we put him on.
My dad and sister estimated that over the weekend we probably walked a total of 10 miles around D.C. We saw some stuff we've seen before and some stuff that was new to us. It was a pretty crowded weekend since the Cherry Blossoms were blooming- but it was great to be there anyway. I just can't tell you how easy Jack was the whole weekend- as long as he had his nuk and yellow blankie with him (thank goodness for those! Without his usual nap schedule, having those 2 things along allowed us to do whatever we wanted during the day)- he was all set. He was perfectly content to sit in his stroller and take in the sights- no matter how far past nap time it was.
We got to see the D.C. aunties, some cousins, some friends, and even a baby panda! Jack was an angel on the plane. On the way back he slept for an hour and then quietly looked at books and ate a chocolate chip cookie for the rest of the time. We're glad to be home, but we miss D.C. already!
And now... the pictures! Somebody give me a prize, it took a long time to upload all of these!!!!
Bonus picture- the kid loves bananas.
Ready, Fred? We're off to the airport!
Is that our airplane?

Great pictures! I never noticed how much Ali looks like your mom until I looked at these. And OMG...J could not possibly look any more like you in that third from the bottom picture.
When are you guys going to come back? Next time you can stay with me (remember, I have a one bedroom-unlike some people!) The cherry blossom pics of you guys look great!
Wow, that looks like it was a great trip--wonderful photos!
The cherry blossom pictures are amazing. They remind me so much of Japan - it makes me "homesick". I'm glad J was such a good traveler. Have fun with Melissa today!
